Where can I get a RovR?

You can find all of our retail partners via our dealers page. In addition, all of our products are available directly from our online store and ship anywhere in the continental 48 states.

Are there any accessories available?

Our current accessory lineup is available through our online store. We are working hard every day to expand this lineup.

How long will the RovR keep ice?

Ice retention is difficult to put in numbers due to the many variables that effect it. That being said, we have been able to achieve over a week of ice retention in our testing and have reported 10+ days of ice retention.

Is there anything I can do to help the RovR retain ice longer?

Several steps can help your RollR achieve longer ice retention. Keeping your RollR in a garage or outdoors means that your insulation is just as hot as the outside temperature. Tossing in one sacrificial ice bag prior to use will chill the insulation and allow for much longer ice retention. In addition to this, block ice is much slower to melt than regular ice. One additional recommendation is to minimize exposure of the cooler to direct sunlight. If you follow these simple steps, your cooler will retain ice longer. What is Route?

How does Route work?

If your Route protected order ends up lost, damaged, or stolen, Route’s expert support team helps ensure that your order gets replaced or refunded as preferred. Claims will be reviewed for approval within 1-2 business days from filing.

How does Route process refunds or reorders?

Refunds: When refunding an item, Route covers the subtotal of the order. Shipping costs, taxes, and the Route premium are not included.

Reorders: Route will reorder the items, depending on in-stock availability. Unavailable items will be refunded. Route will cover the cost of any reorders including shipping, taxes, and Route Shipping Protection.

When should I file a claim with Route?

Marked As Delivered (Stolen)

Claims will be reviewed no earlier than 5 calendar days and no later than 15 calendar days from when it was marked delivered Please note, orders over $100 USD will require a police report to be filed by the customer before any resolution can occur

Stuck In Transit (Lost)

For domestic orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 7 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 60 days from the order dateFor international orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 20 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 60 days from the order date

Damaged

Claims for damaged items require photos of the packaging and item(s) and must be filed no later than 15 calendar days from when it was marked delivered.

How do I file a claim for my lost, damaged, or stolen order?

If you insured your order with Route Protect at checkout, you will receive a confirmation email from Route with a link to file a shipping issue. 

You can also file a shipping issue on Route’s app or via the web here. To file a claim, you will need your store order number OR Route ID number and the email address that was attached to the order.

MAKING ICE LAST

START WITH A COOLER ROVR
Here’s a little science for ya. If your RovR is warm before you put ice in it, the ice will be wasted cooling down the RovR itself. The solution? Preload your RovR the night before with a sacrificial bag of ice to cool it down. Extra points if you dedicate the sacrifice to the camping gods. 

NOT ALL ICE IS CREATED EQUAL
“Warm” ice (hey, it’s all relative, right?) is around 32 degrees, is usually wet or dripping, and does not last long. When stocking your RovR, go for the dryer ice that’s colder than the freezing point. That’s the stuff with real staying power.

CUBED ICE VS. BLOCK ICE
The showdown of the century! Smaller, cubed ice will chill a RovR and its contents more quickly, but block ice melts at a much slower rate. What to choose? Pro tip: use a mix of both to chill contents and achieve long-term ice retention.

TWICE THE ICE IS TWICE AS NICE
It stands to reason, the more ice in your RovR, the cooler your RovR. We recommend following a 2:1 ice-to-contents ratio. This means that one-third of your RovR is for your favorite food and drinks and two-thirds should be filled to the top with the ice that keeps the cold. The more ice you use, the longer it will last.

AIR: ICE’S MORTAL ENEMY
Large pockets of air inside your RovR will accelerate melting as the ice is consumed by cooling the air. Fill empty spaces with towels, extra ice or more cold cans of your favorite beverage.

OBVIOUS FACT OF THE DAY: SUNLIGHT IS A HEAT SOURCE
We know, we know. This is probably a given, but it’s worth mentioning that ice can last up to twice as long in the shade. Keep your RovR out of direct sunlight when possible and use tarps or towels to cover it when you can’t find a shaded spot.

ONLY OPEN YOUR RovR WHEN NECESSARY
Think about this: every time you open your RovR, you’re exchanging the cold air inside for warm ice- melting outside air. Moral of the story? Do a headcount to see if anybody else wants another round before replenishing your beverage. Not only is it the nice thing to do, you’ll save cold air by reducing the amount of times your RovR is opened.

DON’T DRAIN THE WATER
Even after the ice melts, cold water helps to insulate the remaining ice. Just keep exposed food and meat should be kept out of the water to keep things sanitary.

DRY ICE IS BEST
Dry ice is compatible in every RovR. When used in a RovR RollR or IC, it can keep food and drinks cold and frozen even longer than regular ice. Plus, it looks spooky and cool.
